Rock, Paper, Stone, Scissors
Back in my studio I brought together sketches, photos and notes made during my residency. The fragments of drawing seemed to echo the collaged history of the building. At times speculative yet in other moments verified. From here came the idea of making a painting (and set of prints) that suggested that collaging together of ideas and stories. The paintings and prints have the illusion of fakery but when you look closer they reveal themselves as hand painted. In this way, they might suggest the ebb and flow of the history of Rock House itself.
